Round Lake Christian Assembly

Round Lake Christian Assembly was established in 1949 and offered 5 weeks of camp in the summer of 1950. Church membership in Round Lake is limited to Free and Independent Churches of Christ and Christian Churches. From the 22 charter members, membership has now grown to 140 member churches.

Leadership of the camp is under a board of directors, and a board of trustees.

Churches and individuals make up 51% of the yearly budget. Adult retreats and private retreats are self-sustaining. Church and individual support is necessary, otherwise, we would need to raise camper tuition to actual cost. (Actual camper cost for 1997 was $146, and tuition was $100).

The summer staffing of youth camps is heavily dependent upon volunteers, as well as work done on the buildings and grounds.

Growth over the last 40 years has gone from 5 weeks in 1950, to 66 sessions planned in 1998. Attendance the first 12 years of the camp totaled 12,000, while attendance in 1997 was 10,200.

Round Lake Christian Assembly works in cooperation with Christian Churches and Churches of Christ to prepare Gods people for works of service.
