II Chronicles 7:14
. . . .if my people, who are called by my name, will humble
themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear
from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Scripture Selections in the Wake of Terrorism
God Understands Our Fears and Our Anger
Answer me, Lord! You are kind and good. Pay attention to me! You are truly
merciful. Don't turn away from me. I am your servant, and I am in trouble. Please hurry
and help!

God Will Take Care of You

Isaiah 40:29-31 (CEV)
All of our thoughts are known to God. He can understand what is in the mind of the

good of everyone who loves him.
Romans 8:27-28 (CEV)

God's Love is sure
Only God gives inward peace, and I depend on him. God alone is the mighty
rock that keeps me safe, and he is the fortress where I feel secure. God saves me and
honors me. He is the mighty rock where I find safety.
Psalm 62:5-7 (CEV)
Our Lord, you keep your word and do everything you say. When someone stumbles or falls,
you give a helping hand.

God Makes All Things New
I am creating new heavens and a new earth; everything of the past will be
forgotten. Celebrate and be glad forever! I am creating a new Jerusalem, full of happy
people. I will celebrate with Jerusalem and all of its people; there will be no more
crying or sorrow in that city.
Isaiah 65:17-19 (CEV)
The Father is a merciful God who always gives us comfort. He comforts us when we are in
trouble, so that we can share that same comfort with others in trouble.
2 Corinthians 1:3b-4 (CEV) |
Trust in God
Live under the protection of God Most High and stay in the shadow of God
All-Powerful. Then you will say to the Lord, "You are my fortress, my place of
safety; You are my God, and I trust you."
